One year after his big bet, Café de Oriente remains one of the most emblematic and prestigious restaurants in Madrid.
To celebrate the anniversary, the establishment will perform various actions among which design a special menu at a special price and create a solidarity action for the next few days to Christmas.
A year ago, in November 2015, Café de Oriente reopened with a modern air and new gastronomic proposals. The biggest change was to update the image of your Bistro and Restaurant, without forgetting its essence and retaining some of its historical elements.
"We had a challenge when it comes to redecorate the Café de Oriente, as it was a classic with a long life, longtime customers with custom deeply rooted and, especially, We did not want to damage a very consolidated brand nationally and internationally. During November, Café de Oriente has designed a menu recovering the Philippine anniversary decoration inspiration establishment. This fusion menu consists of six passes which include dishes like shrimp Lumpia and dried coconut; Porridge de Faisan, jowl confit and truffled mashed kamote; Kare-Kare Wantun oxtail stuffed with peanuts or Pearl of the Philippines as the finale. It has a special price of 38 € (VAT included) with water, wine and coffee.
Jazz was another novelty that were introduced with the renovation and remains to date. Every Friday night at Bistro Café de Oriente can enjoy live performances by various jazz groups, blues y soul. By last, coinciding with Universal Children's Day and Christmas season, Café de Oriente wanted to add his bit to promote this cause and, from the 20 November 2016 al 8 of January of 2017, Launches Wishing Tree.
This joint action will be that anyone who approaches the Café de Oriente can hang your desire in the branches of this tree, which initially will be naked, in exchange for donating 1 €. The money raised will be handed over entirely to an NGO that will be unveiled the week 20 of November.
