The co-founder and so far CEO of The Fork group, Bertrand Jelensperger, has announced its intention to move to a position on the Advisory Committee effective 1 April 2021. In this newly created leadership position, Bertrand to Join Tripadvisor CEO and Co-Founder, Stephen Kaufer, in order to oversee the strategy and growth of TheFork group.
After this change in the directive, Almir Ambeskovic has been appointed as the new CEO of TheFork group worldwide. In this position, Almir will be responsible for establishing TheFork's business strategy and leading the brand's global operations., including operations in the twenty-two countries in which the company operates.

Before being appointed CEO of the company, Almir was vice president of sales and marketing at TheFork, position in which he was responsible for the growth of the business in 22 markets in which the company operates. further, Almir has directly led several countries as Regional Director of TheFork since 2015. He began his career at TheFork in 2014 as Country Manager of Italy after the acquisition, by Tripadvisor, of RestOpolis, an online restaurant reservation startup that he founded and directed from 2011.
Born in Sarajevo in 1977, Almir started his career as a consultant and entrepreneur in the new technologies sector. First as an entrepreneur, founding 3 Business, and then as one of the directors of a leading digital company like TheFork, Almir has always been an active mentor and has committed to innovation in Italy. In 2012, Almir created and presented the first Italian TV show about startups and innovation. He was also vice president of the group of young entrepreneurs of Assolombarda, with responsibilities in marketing and startups, for six years until 2016.
