We’re pleased to announce that from May we’ll be trialling paper straws in restaurants and moving our recyclable plastic straws behind the counter https://t.co/VniO8pwr9t

Great start @McDonaldsUK @McDonaldsUKNews ….Balloons next please? Found this one on the Farne Islands, a huge hazard to seabirds and other animals. Would love to see you phase these out. pic.twitter.com/YNrjpuOeiR

A move in the right direction though you need to do so, so much more and in double quick time too otherwise you'll be left behind economically.

Your plastic straws are garbage and NOT recyclable. No MRF will capture them. It's a start, and I thank you for that.

So, good news about the plastic, the rest of their packaging may eventually be fully recyclable but as it will be contaminated by food/grease etc it will go for incineration/landfill anyway. – once they have picked it out of the hedge!

Great! But we must rethink even more! Can be recycled does not men no litter and pollution! People are littering and trash find its way into nature anyway! We must only use materials that breaks down in nature!
